Training of all vendors, contractors & subcontractors.  Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) Board of Airport Commissioners recently adopted new programs to provide additional opportunities for the small and local business community to participate in LAWA contracts. These include a new, mandatory Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program and a local Business Preference Program (LBPP).

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been very concerned about fraudulent products being promoted over the internet. How does FDA crack down on Internet sites? What claims/information might generate trouble for a business promoting FDA regulated products online? The workshop will cover some of enforcement actions taken against products promoted online. One “operation” was jointly conducted by FDA, the Federal Trade Commission, local and state agencies, and foreign governments. The focus will be on foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and medical products.

It determines your interest rates, insurance premiums, chance to get business loan and an employer's decision to offer you a job?  Is this scary statement really true?  Expert Yong Wong from First Bank will walk you through what employers should and should not do when it comes to your credit and also what lenders looking for as a good credit profile for them willing to take the time to review your loan application.   He will go over the basic concept on credit reporting agencies, how credit scores are calculated, how long the information remains on the report, and ways to improve your score.
